Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated wildlife destinations. Enjoy a full game drive along the Tarangire River and open plains, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, and numerous bird species are commonly seen.
In the late afternoon, transfer to your lodge in the Karatu area or near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, located beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through lush groundwater forests, open floodplains, and along the lake shore. Expect to see elephants, hippos, baboons, giraffes, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife, including flamingos when in season. Lake Manyara is also known for its tree-climbing lions, although sightings depend on luck.
After lunch, exit the park and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon and concluding your safari.
